From Luxembourg to International cities

Luxembourg City - Paris

In order to get to Paris from Luxembourg, you'll need to take the InOui train from Gare du Luxembourg to Gare de Metz Ville (one-hour trip) and then take another InOui train to Paris Est (1h24 trip).

Luxembourg City - Brussels

From the Luxembourg station (Gare de Luxembourg) you'll need to take the first train to Arlon, Gare (32 min) and then take the second train to Bruxelles-Luxembourg (2h27).

Luxembourg City - Amsterdam

From the Luxembourg station (Gare de Luxembourg) you'll need to take the first train to Arlon, Gare (32 minutes) and then take another train to Bruxelles-Nord(2h39). From there you'll change to take the SNCB/ NNBS train to Anvers-Central (46 min) and finally take the Thalys to Amsterdam Centraal (1h14). 

Keep in mind that seat reservations for high-speed trains are required. We advise you to reserve in advance.

Stopover in Brussels

Brussels, the capital city of Europe, as Belgian call it, has many places to offer.

  • You can visit the European institutions, the European Parliament, the European Commission etc.
  • You can discover the city center with its picturesque Grand Place, its little streets with shops and many beer bars.
  • Many museums are also interesting as the house of the Belgian architect Horta, or the Bozar
  • You can explore Belgian's comic buy taking a stroll in the city center.

Luxembourg City - Milan 

The easiest way to travel to Milan is by passing through Paris. You can take a TGV from Luxembourg to Paris Gare de l'Est (2h15) change station do Paris Gare de Lyon by taking local transports and take a TGV to Milan Porta Garibaldi (5h19). 

Keep in mind that seat reservations for high-speed trains are required. We advise you to reserve in advance.

Traveling to Luxembourg

Trains in Luxembourg runs through the entire country. The national railway operator is Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois (CFL). As for regional and Intercity trains, no reservation is required. We recommend you reserve your seat for the high-speed InterCities as for the TGV's and night trains, the reservation is compulsory and trains can get fully booked. We advise you reserve your seat 3 months in advance. 

What to visit in Luxembourg? 

  • Visit Grund a small picturesque neighborhood within the capital city, Luxembourg City, with a fifteenth-century bridge.
  • Visit a UNESCO World Heritage, the Bock Casemates, in the capital city
  • Visit Le Chemin de la Corniche with "Europe"s most beautiful balcony", also in the capital city
