As of 2020, Interrail passes include all three Baltic States (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia). This means that all winners who receive their pass after 1 January 2020, can use the Interrail Pass to travel within the Baltic States.
From Latvia to international cities
Latvia - Estonia
From Riga, you can travel to Valga, on the Estonian territory, there you will be able to take the train to the city you desire in Estonia.
Latvia - Lithuania
From Riga, you can travel to Daugavpils from where you'll be able to take the train to Lithuania.
Riga - Stockholm
You can take the ferry Tallink Silja Oy to Stockholm. (You will have a 20-50% discount with your Interrail Pass in order to book it.)
Traveling in Latvia
Trains in Latvia are operated by Pasažieru Vilciens. All trains in Latvia are regional and for most of them it's not possible to make reservations. You can make reservations only for two routes:
- Riga - Daugavpils : this train stops at Ogre, Aizkraukle, Pļaviņas, Krustpils and Līvāni
- Riga - Zilupe: this train stops at Ogre, Aizkraukle, Pļaviņas, Krustpils and Viļāni
