COVID-19: What are the new rules and deadlines to confirm my trip?
The following information applies to those participants who have been awarded under the 4th round of DiscoverEU, and who have been informed by the DiscoverEU travel team by email. Unsure about which rules apply to you? Look for the emails we sent you (search your inbox for email@example.com). I did not yet submit my booking form
If you did not submit your booking form yet, you can still do it !
- Travel period extended: The latest departure date for the Flex ticket is the 31st of August 2022, for the Fix ticket, the departure date can be later (the last return date for both tickets is the 30th of September 2022).
- Booking deadline: You have until 15th of July 2021 to submit your booking form.
I received a travel ticket, and did not cancel yet
If you received a travel ticket in 2020, the following rules apply:
- If you plan to depart for your trip as planned: Enjoy your DiscoverEU trip! Make sure to consult to re-open Europe website for the latest information on travel information, restrictions and advice. Stay safe while travelling and follow the guidelines of the local governments and travel staff.
- If you missed your deadline to send the cancellation photos or lost your travel ticket.
For FLEX passes, the Travel Team will not be able to provide you with a travel pass exchange.
For FIX travel tickets, please reach out to the Travel Team.
I received a travel ticket, and completed the request for an exchange
If you received a travel ticket in 2020 and sent the cancellation photos on time. You will automatically receive the mPass via e-mail.
I completed the booking form, but did not receive my FLEX ticket
By the 30th of June 2021, you will have received an e-mail from Interrail with your mPass. The email has as a subject "Your order is confirmed – here’s what’s next" and is sent from the email address "email@example.com".
I completed my booking form or updated my itinerary, but did not receive my FIX ticket
The Travel Team will reach out to you as soon as your trip will be bookable. If you desire to travel later, change your itinerary or change your pass from a FIX to a FLEX pass, do not hesitate to reach out to the Travel Team at firstname.lastname@example.org
